Overview

Sutta 423 is designed to collect as little data as possible while still supporting core product features such as daily reading progress, optional account sync, reminders, purchases, and product analytics. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use the app for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

What We Collect

Device Identifier

The app generates a random device identifier stored locally on your device. We use it to support reading progress, app state, and analytics. By itself, this identifier is not intended to directly identify you.

Reading Progress and App State

• Your current day and reading progress
• Whether you have completed onboarding
• Saved verses and related app preferences
• Reminder settings, if you enable reminders

Optional Account Information

If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we may store account information returned by those providers, such as your authentication provider, email address, and display name, if provided.

Purchase and Subscription Information

If you make a purchase, Apple processes the transaction. We may store subscription state needed to unlock supporter features and understand which support tier is active.

Product Analytics

We collect limited analytics about how the app and website are used so we can improve the product. This may include app opens and app version information, screen and feature usage, onboarding, reminder, account, and supporter flow events, reading progress and verse interaction events, and website visits and engagement events.

Data Storage and Retention

Operational data and analytics may be stored by us and our service providers for as long as needed to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the product. Some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period. You may request deletion of account-linked data by contacting us.
